A WORD FROM THE OWNER
I first came up with the idea to start my business, TACH Metalcraft, back in May 2020 after having worked in the aviation industry for well over 30 years. The aircraft industry was badly hit by the Covid pandemic and lead to a loss of business within this sector. This led to a change in focus for me and a return to the metalcraft industry, which I had first enjoyed years earlier as a young school leaver, where I honed my skills by creating metal items for both domestic and industrial areas.
I set about revamping my garage to transform it into a metal workshop. As it was the beginning of summer and travel abroad was restricted, I decided to focus my work on making tent pegs for campers taking staycations across the UK. Due to their popularity, I soon invested in more equipment for the manufacture and design of other items, such as garden features, plant pot holders, hanging basket brackets, and ornate garden designs to suit customer requirements. With this, TACH Metalcraft was born and launched as my new, self-employed business venture from September 2020. I now have a retail shop, showcasing my unique designs for customers to purchase, and wish to grow my business further across the UK and Europe.
I have invested in a pyrography source where I can also have slate, glass, wood and plastics engraved and cut to most images and wordings. This ensures the items will meet any customer requirements, and when coupled with unique metal frames and supports, each item makes for a new and unusual gift to suit all and for any occasion.
TACH Metalcraft offers a unique experience for gift ideas, garden décor, domestic and industrial uses across a wide range of products not to be found or seen anywhere else.

With this in mind, I am a member of British Non Destructive Testing (BNDT). This allows me to monitor quality and ensure that every product that leaves my studio is suitable for its application.
